Nan Kappeler, owner of NC Kappeler, LLC, founded Lickety-Split® triathlon mats in 2006. As a former collegiate swimmer, ocean lifeguard and long-time triathlete, Nan created the Lickety-Split triathlon transition mats based on her own triathlon experiences and feedback from friends and fellow competitors about their transition area frustrations. Surfers in the southern California area, who have for decades used changing mats, provided her with the idea and inspiration to create the perfect transition mat.
Located in Huntington Beach, California, Lickety-Split® triathlon transition mats focuses on the triathlon community and caters to individuals, teams and clubs throughout the country. All mats are manufactured in the USA.

Lickety-Split® is proud to support the Challenged Athletes Foundation, and the Blazeman Foundation’s war on ALS. We are also a sponsor of the Westchester (NY) triathlon, Tri-Maine’s Lobersterman and ROMP triathlons and New Hampshire’s Eastman Splash, Mash and Dash triathlon. We also contribute to community youth groups including Orange Coast College cross country team and Estancia High School running team in Costa Mesa, California.

Custom Mats
Let your presence be known in the transition area. Colorful mats with a bold logo are a great way for groups, stores or teams to gain exposure at each race. Customize your own mat with your choice of mat and logo color. To ensure the highest quality and customer satisfaction, custom mat orders usually take between 3-12 weeks, depending on mat color choices. Please contact us directly.

Product Return Policy
If for any reason your Lickety-Split® triathlon mat is defective either in materials or workmanship in the first 30 days, you will be credited the full purchase price and/or replaced free of charge. Please send proof of purchase and the mat to:
